Economic changes affect how professionals price services

I really wanted to make this topic a question, but I realized that we are affected and wanted to raise the topic to see how others deal with changes in the economy.

As an entrepreneur, the goal is to grow both in skill and finances. What some professionals don’t know is how to or “if” we should adjust service costs like gas prices, offer specials or bundles, memberships, or leave them the same.
What most clients don’t understand is that the economy affects us as well and as simple as it may seem to offer discounts, as professionals we’re entitled to price based on our skill, market, and living standards. The economy is taking a toll on many of us including our clients, but my question is, do we consider their desire to continue to patron us even though it causes them a financial strain and offer them a discount? Do we continue to raise our prices due to the inflation of products we have to purchase? Is there a middle ground? If so how do we meet them there?
